4th of July!!

Festivities this year were wonderful. Madelynn got to hang out with her cousins Kennedy and MacKenzie at Grandma Pollock's house. We had a fun day of swimming, eating and fun.

Here is Maddy in her 4th of July outfit.


This is a funny story. We were all ready to eat dinner when Auntie Liz made a big deal out of Kennedy eating chicken on the bone. I guess Kennedy LOVES chicken on the bone because it is so fun to eat!! Well Madelynn started looking around and noticed that Kennedy AND MacKenzie both had chicken on the bone and her chicken was in pieces cut up on her plate. So she got down from her chair, walked all the way around the table to me and said 'bone? bone?' As if to say 'where is my bone?'. It was the funniest thing ever. So this is her eating her 'bone' just like her cousins. She thought it was just about as great as Kennedy did.

Madelynn LOVED swimming. I have decided that I need to be worried about her teenage years because she can think something is totally horrible until she sees one of her friends do it. Swimming was totally this way. Kennedy got her to get in the water then showed her how fun it is to swim. After that Madelynn was totally willing to try it and was the last one to want to get out of the pool. She even jumped off the diving board!!!



After we were finished swimming, Jacob got some helpers who just HAD to help him clean the pool. I guess they thought he was doing it wrong. Madelynn and MacKenzie are two peas in a pod, you really have to keep an eye on them or who knows what you might find later.




The girls really like Uncle Jacob. He was giving them feet massages at the end of the day. How cute are they??


We LOVE the 4th. It is by far one of the best days of the year and this year was no exception.
